Atypical childhood Takayasu arteritis – A case report

Childhood Takayasu arteritis is one of the most common vasculitis in paediatric age group. It predominantly involves greater vessels such as aorta and its branches, leading to granulomatous inflammation. The process inflammation gives rise symptoms based on thrombotic or aneurysmal phenomena. This a case report 11-year-old girl diagnosed an urban tertiary care centre India with childhood arteritis. said child had first presented non-specific leg ache, back ache fever. Over course illness, developed hypertension also suffered from PRES (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). Clinical examination was consistent arteritis, however predominant medium-sized vessel involvement imaging. Since this relatively atypical presentation, it mandatory rule out other causes medium-vessel especially DADA2 (deficiency ADA2).
